ABOUT
Naked City is a production company that boasts a vast and unique understanding of content creation for agencies, brands, documentaries, and social media.
Opened in late 2019 by veteran agency and production-side executive producer Mark Sitley, it is a creative collective that is a resource for projects from conception through execution and final delivery, as well as a lab for IP development. Based in Brooklyn, New York, Naked City can offer soup-to-nuts production including editorial, color, sound design/mixing, and finishing.
Founder/executive Mark Sitley won multiple advertising awards during an agency career that included stints as head of production at both Chiat Day in New York and Fallon in Minneapolis, where he was executive producer of the legendary BMW Films and set up one of the first agency digital departments.
Mark also has the distinction of being the first agency producer ever to assume a creative director title (at Euro RSCG, now Havas, where he had the dual title of Head Of North American Production/Creative Director). And he led production at talent agency CAA when it made headlines by "stealing" the Coca-Cola business away from Madison Avenue. In the middle of all this he fit in eight years as a director of commercials for brands such as American Express, Converse, and Coca-Cola.
Location scout for John Cassavetes. Former short-order cook and manager of a bar in St. Croix. Proud father and husband. Mark has many stories to tell.
WOODWARD ORIGINAL
A new alliance between Detroit-based production company Woodward Original and Naked City was launched in late May 2023.
As a result, Naked City now has a Detroit base with its own full-service post production operation and three new directors on the roster: Ariel Ellis, Emmanuel Olafobi, and Rory McHarg.
